Mike (Dad, Poppy) was a proud, loving father and grandfather whose life revolved around his family. He loved shopping for, planting and tending flowers, a past time he shared with several of his children. He also loved visiting his children, sitting around a fire, playing corn hole and sharing memories and stories full of laughter. He wasn’t materialistic and he knew what was important…to love and be loved. He spent as much time as possible with his family. He is known by all who love him as a kind-hearted man, who didn’t have a mean bone in his body. His laughter and sense of humor will be sorely missed by all…his passing has left a huge hole that can never be filled. Our hearts are breaking, we are devastated and we are wondering how we will live without seeing his face and his smile, hearing his voice and just knowing he was there whenever we needed him. Mike is survived by his children Jessica M. Mefford, Matthew J. Mefford, Sara D. Mefford, M. Wade Mefford and Katherine A. Mefford, as well as his step-children Kelly (Tom) Mader, Lora Mefford, Scott (Shi) Mefford and Heather (Dan) Bell. Mike is also survived by a brother, Richard R. Mefford, and ex-wife Brenda D. Henderson. Grandchildren: Haley (Brandon Wagoner) Mefford, Aubrie and Gwen Miller-Mefford, Madalyn Cohen, Paisley Mefford, Harper Mefford, Akira Mefford, Cammron Mefford, Britny Mader, Cole Mader, Daniel Howard, Cody Mefford, Garett Mefford, Sierra Mefford, Kaleb Mefford, Gavin Gibbins-Mefford, Great-grandchildren: Easton and Autumn Mefford- Wagoner, Mateo Mader, Grayson and Elliza Mefford, Leanna and Aiden Estepp, Aryanna Adkins, Nieces and nephews: Angela Auckerman, Richard R. and Amberlyn Mefford, Jane and Jesi Mefford Friends who are family: Joseph Pate, Artie ‘Chester’ Baker, Stephanie Pittman He also leaves behind several pets, who he loved like his children.
