Michael Randolph Fair, age 61, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Johnson City, Tennessee a son of Cecil Fair and the late Brenda Ford Jenkins. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Novella and Edgar Ford.
Michael was of the Christian faith and a graduate of Daniel Boone High School where he will be remembered as a phenomenal football player. He worked for Kilby Chassis Designs where he was a valued race team crew member and was a Brick Mason where he left his craft and touch all over East Tennessee. He enjoyed racing, boating, was an avid deer hunter, horse riding, four wheeling, marksman gun collector, and was known as the “Grill Master”. He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend to many.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Wynn Fair; his father and step mother, Cecil and Ferrell Fair; two brothers, Gary Fair, and Brian Fair, Sr. and wife Vilma; brother-in-law, Tim Cox and wife Cokie; three nieces, Alyssa Fair Tipton, Jessica Fair Poarch, and Callee Cox; three nephews, James Fair, Brian Fair, Jr., and McCloud Cox; and a very special best friend, Blaine Kilby.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to friends Blaine Kilby, Sid Letterman, Jason Kane, Kenny Lane, Brandon Stanley, Karen Phillips and Pastor Kevin Laws, for all the love and care that was shown.
