It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mom. She was called home after a short, but fierce battle with cancer at the age of 78. Jeannette grew up in Willow Bunch, SK, married Francis John Gartner on August 17, 1968. They lived in Vancouver, Washington, USA, Saskatoon, SK and eventually made Regina, SK their home. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many.
Predeceased by her husband Francis (2010), their son Jason (1969), her parents, Orphis & Cecile Champigny, her in-laws: Adam and Emelia Gartner. Francis’ siblings, Mike, Leonard, and Leona. Sister-in-law Denise, and nephew Greg. Jeannette’s brother-in-law, Clarence Dosch, and sister-in-law, Lorraine Champigny.
Jeannette is survived by her adoring children; Carina (Andre, Henry and Fiona) Lamarche, Alison (Robert Oliver, Owen) Newman and Tyler (Laureen, Jager and Avaeh) Gartner; as well as her siblings: Raymond, Marcel (Bernice), Leo (Linda), Doris Dosch, Liette (Ken) Hrabia, Joanne (Gerald) Martin, Nicole (Rod) Kyle, and Fernie (Joanne). As well as Francis’ siblings; Sister Marie, Agnes (Paul) Skinner, Ludwina (Jerome) Fischer, Joyce, Ron (Caroline), Richard, Robert (Joyce), Anthony, Janet (John) Stang, Betty-Anne (Wayne) Witzany, Patrick (Marg), David (Joanne), Pius (Shannon), and Bernard (Barb); and many cousins, nieces & nephews.
Jeannette will always be remembered for her kind heart, beautiful smile and the love and adoration of her
children and grandchildren. Her children would like to thank her long-time best friend, Rosemarie Rotariu, for being there for her, especially in this last year. With SHA restrictions, your visits and phone calls meant the world to Mom, and to us. With love in our hearts, we thank our family and friends for all of the support you have
provided. A small private funeral Mass will be held on
Saturday, April 10th at 11:00 A.M. at Christ the King R.C. Church. Due to SHA guidelines, the funeral and
