It is with sadness to report the passing of Michael Jukich, a long time east end resident. Michael was born in Vancouver but spent the early part of his life in the mining town of Bralorne. His memories of those times would stick with him forever. He could tell some very interesting stories about life during that era and was always willing to share them. From the sports teams that he played on, to how the town operated. Michael was the driving force behind town reunions for many years.
He spent 40 plus years as a very knowledgeable insurance agent for the Prudential Insurance Company winning many awards in his career.
Always the life of the party, whether it be with a joke or taking pictures, Michael made many friends over the course of his life. He was always helping others.
An original season ticket holder of the Vancouver Canucks, Mike was passionate about his team even going so far as to picket at the entrance to the freeway one day to fire the GM.
He is predeceased by his wife, Lorraine, brother Roy , sister in law Eileen, and nephew Roy jr.
Survived by his wife Corrine, nephews Dan and John and niece Teresa. Special thanks to Randy for taking Mike to appointments.
