Jerry Neal Raburn, 84, passed away April 30, 2021, peacefully in his sleep at home after a long illness. He leaves behind 3 daughters, Jenny Raburn Overbey, Lori Raburn Wade (Keith), and Jeri Raburn. He also leaves grandchildren Sam Overbey (Jared), Zac Overbey (Lindsay), Neal Thompson (Ashley), Emily Thompson, Kyle Wade, and Shelby Wade and great grandchildren Everett Overbey, Isla Overbey, and Levi Thompson-Likens. He will also be greatly missed by his brother, Michael Raburn and his sister, Susan Raburn Wade. Mr. Raburn was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Nell Hanna Raburn, his parents, Benjamin and Leron Raburn, and his sister, Janice Raburn Guin.
Mr. Raburn was a graduate of Treadwell High School, class of 1956. He also served as a sergeant in the United States Army at Fort Benning, Georgia. He worked for Elliott Business Machines as a service technician before buying the business which later became Elliott Impression Products, Inc. He ran that business for 20 years with his wife Barbara.
When he wasn’t working Mr. Raburn liked to hunt and fish, and later in life he became a private pilot, and he and his wife had many cross-country adventures in their plane with cousins Tommy and Pat Raburn.
After losing his wife to cancer 15 years ago, Mr. Raburn again found joy when he met Patricia Lovelace, an angel in her own right.
The family will receive friends from 9am until service time at 10am, on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133
