Grant did spend some time going to college but he made a successful career working as a restaurant manager. Working in the restaurant industry, he was able to meet new people and had created some lifelong friendships as well as earning numerous recognitions.
Lori and Grant were married in Moore, Oklahoma on November 12, 1992. There could not have been a more proud moment for Grant than when his children, Amanda Paige and Johnathan Carter, were born, until the birth of his grandson, Bowie in early 2021.
He was a member of the Boy Scouts, the Hockey Booster Club and occasionally attended Friendship Church. Grant had a love for flying drones, entering mini triathlons, playing soccer and of course, watching hockey and any Texas Tech sport.
He is preceded in death by his father, S. Charles Zang who passed in 1986.
Grant’s memory will continue to be cherished by his wife, Lori Zang; daughter, Amanda Paige Zang of Denver, Colorado; son, Johnathan Carter Zang, wife, Anne Marie, and son, Bowie Joe of Del City, Oklahoma; mother, Kay Zang of Ponca City, Oklahoma. Also, brothers, S. Charles Zang II, wife, Kelly and daughter, Kaitlin of Kansas City, Missouri; and Christopher Colin Zang, wife, Angela Marie, and children, Colin and Brooke of Phoenix, Arizona.
