He was born May 12, 1935, in Antioch, Ohio, and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1954. Richard worked as a meat cutter for Kroger and Giant Eagle until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Parish.
Richard was a true outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and trapping. He also enjoyed camping, gardening, and bowling. Richard was a CYO basketball coach and Little League coach for many years.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife Patricia (Chechak) Taylor, his children: Cheryl (Rick) Walker, Amy (Dan) Stankavich, Rick (Kathy) Taylor, Sue (Scott) Lishing, Pam (Dan) Livengood, as well as his 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and special cousins Gary, Jack, and Ed Pittman.
He was preceded in death by his mother Muriel Swiger, grandparents: Foster and Goldie Pittman, brother Danny Taylor, sister Judy Kay Turner, and grandson Matthew Walker.
Friends and family will be received Friday, May 14, 2021, from 10:30 – 11:30 AM with funeral services officiated by Reverend William Kraynak at 11:30 AM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E.
