Kim was born on May 16, 1962 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Wayne Uran and Gloria Anderson Uran, who have been awaiting her arrival in heaven.
Her surviving family includes her grandmother, Carroll Hughes, her sisters, Deb (Daryl) Killian, Darla Uran, Marsha (Steve) Deininger, her brothers, Mike Uran, and Chris Uran. Her loving husband of 33 years, Jeff Knosalla. Her children, Jessica (Rich Laundreaux) Knosalla Jurva, Jennifer (James) Buter, Nicholas Knosalla, Mitchell Knosalla, and Jamie Knosalla. Her grandchildren whom she adored, Braden Jurva, Quinley Buter, Kinsley Laundreaux, and Alexander Laundreaux.
Kim graduated from St. Louis Park High school in 1980, immediately entering the working world and knew no limits as she lived in Phoenix and Las Vegas for a time. She returned to Minnesota and raised her family before moving them to Gilbert, Arizona in 1997 and finally returning to Minnesota again in 2018.
Always eager to challenge herself, she returned to college in her thirties and earned a bachelor’s degree in business accounting while holding down a full-time job and managing a household. She worked in positions of manufacturing, quality control, and accounting. She owned her own business for a time before selling it. She went on to work part-time, managing client relations for a local gym before fully retiring at 50 to take on her biggest job yet as she managed her husband, meeting his every need.
Kim loved to stay active as she attended regular workouts, ran marathons, hiked mountains, biked, and really enjoyed golfing. Kim often had household projects going and was an amazing cook as well. She loved to travel and would often inform her husband of the next adventure she had planned for them.
Her Christian faith grew strongly through the years as she fully accepted the grace of her savior Jesus Christ. A faith that she would carry with her and hold so important that her biggest wish was that all her children and grandchildren would have a relationship with Jesus just like she did. All who met her recognized that light inside of her that beamed with every smile and laugh. She loved to laugh and had an incredibly sharp sense of humor, even up until her last days.
Kim loved holidays and parties as she would often be the last to leave while telling everyone how much she loved them. She was also never afraid to speak up for what she believed but did not force her opinions on others. Kim advised with wisdom and told people what they needed to hear, not necessarily what they wanted to hear as she was never much of a politician. You could trust that she always had your best interests in mind.
Her time here was far too short but her impact will live for generations through her family, her greatest love. She showed consistent faith, strength, bravery, and courage in a long battle with cancer that never defeated her. She won the battle as she dictated how it would go and knew without a doubt that she would enter the gates of heaven to achieve final victory. Hallelujah!
