Norma Jean Morrison, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home on May 30, 2021 with loving and devoted family members at her side. She was the former Norma Jean Raymer, born July 26, 1932. She was a member of Longfield United Baptist Church and was baptized on Nov. 5, 1944 by Reverend Johnny Jones. She was a member of the Queen Esther Chapter of the Order of Eastern Stars.
Norma was married to Ray P. Morrison on November 15, 1949 and remained his wife until his death on September 18, 1984. They had one daughter, Diane Morrison. Norma was an employee of Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company for 25 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Morrison, her daughter Diane Levsey, her brother Willie Raymer, and her parents, Willard & Lucy Raymer.
She is survived by her granddaughter Dr. Brittney Levsey-Nintrup (Tim), sisters Shirley Carroll and Wanda Johnson, brother Billy Raymer (Lynne), son-in-law Mike Levsey, a very dear friend, Noah Priddy Sr., and a host of beloved nephews, nieces and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday June 11, 2021 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. A service to honor the life of Norma will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
