Chan "Papa" Davis Hill, Jr., 80, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Tim Long will officiate. The family will greet friends from 5 until 7 PM Thursday evening at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road.
Mr. Hill was born in Miami, Florida the son of the late Bernice Lucas Hill and Chan Davis Hill, Sr. and was preceded in death by a son, Scott Davis Hill. He was retired from Georgia Kaolin after 38 years of service and was also employed by Kroger, MaconPower, and ACE Electric. Mr. Hill was a Mason and was a member of Shurlington Baptist Church.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia "Pat" Caldwell Hill of Lizella; children, Debbie Ball (Kevin) of Lizella, Deanna Jones (Jeff) of Juliette, Doug Hill (Stephanie) of Macon, and Danny Hill (Amy) of Lizella; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Trecia Brower of Macon; several nieces and nephews.
