Sharleen was born September 21, 1929 in Denver, Colorado, the only daughter of Edward and Jean Staats. She graduated from Manuel High School in 1947 and then enrolled in Colorado State College where she was a member of the modeling board. She married Gene Replogle and settled in Denver until his career brought them to Greeley in 1961. In Greeley, Sharleen was active in the restaurant business. She managed the restaurant at Greeley Producers for a number of years, she and Gene owned and operated the Crest and Chef restaurants and she was an assistant to the managers of the Chuckwagon Dinner Playhouse and the Mad Russian restaurant.
Sharleen and Gene were married for 66 years before his passing in 2015. They had three daughters: Candis, Melody and Tammy. In addition to her parents and husband, Sharleen was preceded in death by her brother Edward and her daughter Melody.
Sharleen is survived by her daughter Candis Putnik and son-in-law Charles Putnik of Houston, TX; her daughter Tammy Bullington and son-in-law Les Bullington of Evans, CO; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A “Celebration of Sharleen’s Life” will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, at 9:30 A.M., on Thursday, August 12, 2021.
Her family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of the very special people who cared for her in the last months of her life. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations can be made in her honor to the breast cancer or Alzheimer’s research foundation of your choice.
