Rinaldo Pio “Tony” Castelli, of Scituate, formerly of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on the evening of July 29, 2021 at the Life Care Center of the South Shore in Scituate. He was 92 years old.
Born in Zambana, Italy, he was the son of the late Maria Castelli and Erasmo Castelli. He immigrated to America at age 11.
He was the loving father of Maria Castelli Dinwoodie, Rose Castelli, Norma Castelli, and the late William Castelli. Cherished “Papa Tony” of William Castelli, Katie Castelli, Falon Castelli, Elissa Dukeshire, Kyle Dinwoodie, and Michael Dinwoodie. Loving brother of Mario Castelli, Virginia Castelli, and Oreste Castelli.
The number of people Papa Tony touched in his lifetime is immense. He was strong until the end, and his heart was huge. Always the jokester, he loved to make people laugh. He was a swimming pool contractor well into his 80's. He tinkered and worked on handmade projects until he couldn't. He made personalized crafts for neighborhood kids and his loved ones. Tony will be missed, but he left many wonderful memories for his family and friends, and a legacy that will long be remembered.
Funeral services will be held privately.
