Dennie L. (DL) Byram was born to Orville D. (OD) Byram and Virginia F. (Littell) Byram on May 12, 1935 in Spokane, WA. Dennie left us on Thursday, July 29, 2021 to be reunited with his beloved wife, Judi. He passed away peacefully with family by his side at his residence in Spokane, WA.
He is survived by his 3 daughters; LaRee J. Welch (Michael), Idonna Gullett, & Xandra Case; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grand-children; step daughter Tamitha Garrido and her family.
Dennie graduated high school in Edwall, WA and went on to graduate from the University of Idaho. After college he worked in the dairy industry and held many positions over the years and eventually retired from the Spokane County Health Department as a Public Health Officer. He traveled often to teach water Cross Connections principals. He was a scuba diver and owned Byram Underwater Enterprises. He worked for many years as an Usher at the Spokane Coliseum and the Joe Albi Stadium. He was also the manager of Byram Farms LLC. Dennie loved to socialize and had many friends. He had a passion for his family genealogy and loved to travel and meet family members from all over the world.
He was a member of Mayflower Society, Pioneers of Washington, Mondovi Grange #822, Five Mile Prairie Grange #905, “HASSIE” old car club, American Water Works Association, National Association of Wheat Growers, Inland Northwest Rail Museum and he was a member of the Washington State Board of Registered Sanitarians. As per Dennie’s request no funeral services will be held. In memory of Dennie, the family suggests any gifts be made to the Dennie L. Byram Scholarship Endowment at the University of Idaho.
