He was born on June 16, 1937 in Starbuck, Minnesota to Orville and Esther (Peterson) Lundblad. Passed away on September 17, 2021 in Coon Rapids.
He is preceded in death by his beloved Wife, Patricia of 45 years; his Parents, Orville and Esther; Brothers, Duane and Michael. He married Patricia Riffel on September 18, 1965 in Pipestone, Minnesota. They resided and raised their three children in Coon Rapids.
He was drafted into the Army on September 22, 1960. He served in California and Berlin, Germany as a communications crewman. He was Honorably Discharged on September 19, 1962. He was a longtime employee of Northern States Power. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting with his two sons and his longtime friend Denny Anderson and his three sons. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his Children, Kim (Tony) Welsh, Kevin (Dennis), and Kraig Lundblad; Sister, Donna Cusey; Grandchildren, Madeline Lundblad, and Brian Welsh.
A visitation for Rodger will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN. An evening service will occur Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 7:00 PM, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN. A private family burial will occur at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids, MN.
