Ron was born on January 7, 1935 in New York City, NY
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Patricia B. Williams, for 57 years.
He is survived by his three children, Christopher B. Williams and his wife Dora Puglia Williams, Paul D. Williams and his wife Kim Conyngham, and Karen L. Nichols and her husband Kent F. Nichols.
Ron is also survived by his younger brother, Carl Williams.
His grandchildren Ronald S. Williams, Daniel Williams, Faith Williams, Colin Williams, Katherine Nichols, Patrick Nichols and Sean Nichols further survive him.
He enlisted in the US Air Force at the age of 17, and served from 1952-1956 in the 329th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Wing and 341st Air Refueling Squadron, earning the rank of Airmen First Class.
After the service, Ron was employed by Johnson Controls Inc. for 39 years, retiring as head of the International Division to Madison, CT in 1995.
Ron generously supported and was on the board of directors of Kurn Hattin New England Homes in Westminster, Vermont. He had many fond memories of years spent there as a youth.
Ron and his wife, both avid travelers, circled the world in their retirement. He also loved to read and correspond with family, friends and acquaintances. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a devoted husband and grandfather, a mentor, role model, and above all else, a dedicated and loving father.
A memorial service will be held at The Lutheran Church of Madison on February 13, 2016 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in his memory to Kurn Hattin New England Homes, Development Office, PO Box 127, Westminster, VT 05158.
