Craig was born on September 9, 1965 in Waco Texas, to Linda (Aday) Schlottmann and Manfred Schlottmann. He grew up in McGregor, Texas where he loved following the Bulldogs in all sports. He read the McGregor Mirror every week to keep up with what was happening in his home town.
Craig was a member of the Cresaptown, Maryland United Methodist Church. He was a member and past president of the Cresaptown Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2883, a member and Past President of the Eagle Riders, trustee for the Maryland State Fraternal of Eagles, a member of the American Legion, ABATE of Western Maryland. He loved sports especially the Pittsburg Steelers, Baylor Bears, and the Texas Longhorns. Craig also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with family and he loved to eat but especially Tex-Mex Food and his aunt’s chicken fried steak.
Craig is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Aday Schlottmann. Surviving him and cherishing his memory are his loving wife Cathy Schlottmann; his daughter Ashley Meadows and husband Seth; step son Michael Hooker; father, Manfred Schlottmann; his brothers Chris Schlottmann and Jared Macias; his grandchildren who he adored, Chance and MacKenzie Meadows; brother-in-law Jeffrey Renner and wife Cecilia; sister-in-law Lindsey Renner; mother-in-law Beverly Jean Renner; his very special four-legged friend Charlie and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Craig never met a stranger and would talk to everyone, so there are many of you who can share fond memories of him too.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A. 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland on Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at the Cresaptown United Methodist Church on Wednesday at 11:00 p.m. with Pastor Hal Atkins officiating.
Friends will also be received at the Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, Texas on Friday, December 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow that evening at 6:00 p.m. at Cole funeral home.
Local arrangements are entrusted to the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A. 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Maryland.
