William “Billy” Noel Stange, 65, of Victoria, passed away surrounded by his family on July 6, 2019. Billy was born and raised in Victoria on March 2, 1954 to Neydine Dietzel Stange and the late Herbert Stange. Billy was a lifetime rancher and outdoor enthusiast. He loved his 4-legged babies (cows), always ready to catch a fish and go hunting. He always looked forward to the annual fishing weekend with the boys and grandkids around his birthday, and family dove hunt on opening weekend in Kenedy. He had a huge love for operating heavy equipment, may sound crazy but he found it therapeutic. Most of all he loved having all his family around and any reason to kick back and have a drink and solve the world’s problems.
Billy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Scindy Asbeck Stange; daughter, Skandy Schmidt (Troy); sons, William N. Stange Jr. (Tara), Wade N. Stange (Shelby) all of Victoria; mother, Neydine Dietzel Stange of Victoria; brother, Curtis D. Stange of Victoria; grandchildren, Tristyn and Shiyla Schmidt, Coy and Shay Stange.
Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 5:30-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with a Memorial service to immediately follow at 7 PM. A Celebration of Life reflecting Billy’s memories will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 6 to 9 Pm at the Stange’s home in Schroeder for all friends and family who would like to attend.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of South Texas or donor’s choice.
