Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Mariannina (Tavarozzi) Landolfi.
John was an insurance agent with Prudential for many years before retiring. He was also a WW II Army Veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He enjoyed playing chess and cards and he also enjoyed playing pool. John was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church for over 20 years, where he served as an usher. He also built the Pan Game and worked it at the Our Lady of Grace Feast until this past summer.
He was the father of Donna A. Ricci and Vincent J. Landolfi; grandfather of John Michael, Jennifer, Justin, Jamie and the late Jaclyn Ricci-Snow and great grandfather of Isabelle, Derek and Charlie. He was also the brother of Lucy Aurelio.
His funeral with visitation will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 8:30 am from the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15 George Waterman Road, Johnston. Burial with Military Honors to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Grace Memorial Fund, 4 Lafayette Street, Johnston, RI 02919.
