Born Mary Catherine Evrard on July 19,1925 in Rossford, Ohio, she graduated high school and later attended Secretary's School.
A kind-hearted and independent woman, Mary was a devout Catholic and for years she not only worked for the Catholic church, but she also handcrafted the christening bibs and the altar cloths for the St. Jude the Apostle Cathedral. She was a lifetime lover of small dogs, a songstress, a seamstress, a true-blue “Rosie the Riveter,” a devoted sister and friend, and an inspiration to those around her as she exemplified a beautiful will to live as she so chose, right up until she was ready to move on.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Griffin, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 from 12 pm - 1 pm with Funeral Services at 1 pm all at the Cathedral of Saint Jude the Apostle, 5815 5th Avenue North, St Petersburg, FL 33710.
