Daniel Lee Wilson was born on June 20, 1951, in Portland, Oregon, to Alfred and Mildred Wilson. He was raised with his two siblings, Vivian and Alfred, Jr., in Vancouver, Washington, and St. Johns, Oregon.
Daniel graduated in 1969 from Benson High School, and went on to enter the work force. He worked for 16 years as a custodian for the Beaverton School District. He loved the kids, and enjoyed working with the staff.
Daniel met the love of his life, Kathryn, in high school. He was casually reading a Spiderman comic when he decided to stick his foot out, tripping Kathryn, who was getting off the bus. Books and papers flew everywhere, and the two were inseparable since.
On October 9, 1971, Daniel and Kathryn married in the University Park Baptist Church in St. Johns, Oregon. They were blessed with one daughter.
Among the many things in life that Daniel enjoyed, he especially loved collecting dragons. He also enjoyed adventures in his Mini-Cooper, kites, airplanes, NASCAR, comic books, and science fiction.
Daniel passed away on July 21, 2020, in his Portland home. Per his request, no services will be held. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn; daughter, Bonnie Wilson; sister, Vivian Wilson Stafford; brother, Alfred W. Wilson, Jr. (Jan); and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Daniel's name may be made to the Oregon Humane Society.
