Born in Clymer, PA. She was the youngest daughter, of eight children, to the late Mary (Peles) and Joseph Malisa. After graduation, she moved to Philadelphia and found work as a book keeper. It is here that she meet her future husband …..a relationship that would last for over 63 years. Together they would raise six children. This full time job was made a little easier during the summer months spent at Tingley Lake. The cottage may have been Dutch’s castle, but Caroline was the Queen…the real ruler. Since she loved being surrounded by family, Sunday and holiday dinners were tradition.
