She will be lovingly remembered by her children Richard (Trish) Carriere, Michelle Yarrow and James (Sherri) Carriere, grandchildren Rebecca, Richard and Darby.
Gwendolin is predeceased by her husband Albert (2002), her parents Elwood and Evelyn (1965, 1961)
She will be forever loved and remembered by her love of life, the positive attitude, never sweat the small stuff. Smiles on the cloudiest days, warmest hugs and joy of giving her best on the snowiest days. Loving her family and students so much that she would stop for them.
Her love of teaching for over 50 plus years, to bright eyed students, the reading of Charlotte’s web, making learning exciting, touching 1000’s of lives to be their best in life. She was a master, full teacher.
Mom, Miss’s “C” or Grandma “C” loved the outdoors, camping, bonfires, gardening, holidays, birthdays, the love she had for her husband, children and grandchildren, reminding us “Always be prepared”.
Opening her doors for friends and family sharing what she had and not asking for anything in return.
A code to live by: Keep my temper, hold my tongue, Embrace the old, Accept the young, respect the person not their pay, help all I can, when helpless pray, Praise all good, forgive all harm, be known for love, instead of charm.
She kept the code.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
