On Saturday January 2, 2021 Manuela (Nelly) Morales Rendon a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away at the age of 69. She entered into heaven leaving behind 3 surviving sons, 4 grandchildren, one daughter in-law and a loving husband of 49 years.
Born in Las Iglesias, Coahuila, Mexico on July 21, 1951 to Maria De Jesus Rendon Torres(+) and Santiago Rendon(+). She then moved to San Jose de Aura in Coahuila at a very early age, while attending school and attending the local ministry school to start her Christian studies. At the age of 18, she attended a technical college in the town of Monclova, Coahuila Mexico where she earned her business degree.
Manuela and Luis met as children in their home town and later married in August 1971 in San Jose de Aura. Shortly after, they moved to start a family in Grand Prairie, Texas. Having three sons, the first born Luis Manuel, Hector Javier and Armando (Mondo) Morales.
She is survived by her 4 grandchildren Elyssa Anais, Gabriela Monet, Joshua Daniel and Isabella (Bella) Citlali Morales. She is also survived by her loving daughter in-law Erica Georgina Morales of 26 years.
Nelly, born the eldest of 11 children, with 2 passing away at an early age, lead her family to Christ as a dedicated daughter of God. Surviving siblings Juan, Santiago, Richard, Raul, Julio, Maria, Francisco and Alfredo, always very united and dedicated to God’s word. Nelly dedicated her time to her family and loved to stay in touch with them enjoying every milestone in their lives.
Retired from the Texas Agricultural Extension Service at Texas A&M, she was a dedicated employee for 20 years. She dedicated her career to teaching young mothers to prepare nutritional meals for their families. She enjoyed the simple things in life, watching old classic movies with her husband Luis, enjoying a good song and singing from the top of her lungs in her kitchen while preparing her favorite meals for her family.
Always caring and kind in nature she loved to spend time with her grandkids at stores and helping them get to school while providing care for them. She loved a good laugh anytime she was around friends and family. She was a people loving person and demonstrated her affection to all the people she knew.
We will forever miss your beautiful voice, your warm embraces and charming character. Your faith to God and work in the Lord’s word will be a shining example to your family and friends you leave behind. It is with many broken hearts and heavy shoulders that we must bear the painful process of saying goodbye to you. May God now embrace you and give you the warmest homecoming in heaven. Your loving family will carry on in your work with God in love and pride in Christianity.

Nació en Las Iglesias, Coahuila, México el 21 de julio de 1951 de María De Jesús Rendón Torres (+) y Santiago Rendón (+). Retirada del Servicio de Extensión Agrícola de Texas en Texas A&M, fue una empleada dedicada durante 20 años. Dedicó su carrera a enseñar a las madres jóvenes a preparar comidas nutritivas para sus familias. Disfrutaba de las cosas simples de la vida, veía películas clásicas con su esposo Luis, disfrutaba de una buena canción y cantaba a todo pulmón en su cocina mientras preparaba sus comidas favoritas para su familia.
Siempre cariñosa y amable por naturaleza, le encantaba pasar tiempo con sus nietos en las tiendas y ayudarlos a llegar a la escuela mientras los cuidaba. Le encantaba reír cada vez que estaba con amigos y familiares. Ella era una persona amante de la gente y demostró su afecto a todas las personas que conocía.
