Easter B. Lipscomb was born on April 17, 1929 in Spring Hope, North Carolina, and she was the fourth child of the late Sermon Anderson and Luvenia Anderson.
A TIME TO LIVE
She grew up in a loving home with her parents and nine siblings. She was educated in the North Carolina public school system. She moved to Washington, DC where she was employed as a receptionist.
A TIME TO LOVE
Easter was married to Daniel Lipscomb until his passing; they enjoyed each other’s company. Seeing that they had so much love to give and share, God placed seven wonderful and loving children into their lives; six girls, and one boy.
A TIME TO PLAY
She enjoyed fishing, walking, cooking and going to the casinos to play the slot machine. She also enjoyed watching Perry Mason, old western TV shows and Joel Osteen. She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Lipscomb; four sisters, Emma Crummell, Elouise High, Lovie Eatmon, Dolly Bailey; three brothers, Izell Anderson, Jc Anderson (Boot), Bill Anderson. She leaves to cherish her memory seven loving children - Linda Vines (Willie), Louise Lipscomb (late George Deal), Brenda Mitchell (Clayton), Jacqueline Washington (Jesse), Lisa Lipscomb, Rita Dickens (Tyrone) and son Daniel Lipscomb Jr. (Tonya); two sisters, Shirley Saunders, Gloria Douglas; two brothers-in-laws David Saunders and Randolph Lipscomb; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; a very loving and kind caregiver, Aster Sheibeshi, who we cherish, love and appreciate so much; and a host of adoring family members and friends, who will miss her dearly.
