After graduating from Woburn High School, he attended Northeastern University, graduating with a bachelor of science degree. Ken then spent three years in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Chitose, Japan for one year.
When he was discharged from the army Ken went to work for Amica Insurance as a claims adjuster in Boston. In 1965 he was transferred to Buffalo, New York, where he stayed for four years. In 1970 he was promoted to assistant branch manager of the Dallas, Texas office. He retired after 35 years with the company.
Ken married Sally Vachon in 1965. They had a son, Bruce, in 1966, and a daughter, Kristen, in 1968.They were married for over 55 years.
Ken was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was faithful, dependable, funny and kind. He loved spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his wife, Sally, daughter, Kristen Rasor (Allen), son, Bruce (Casey) and grandchildren Brooke Rasor, and Ken (June), and Grayson Magnuson. He was enjoying getting to know his first great grandchild, Julian Magnuson. He is also survived by his brother, John (Barbara) Magnuson, and sister, Eleanor Johnson (Norman) and several nieces and nephews.
Ken is leaving a big hole in our lives. We will all miss his positive attitude and quirky sense of humor.
