Charles proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War and graduated from LSU with a degree in Forestry. He worked as a Forester for International Paper Co. and was a member of Fredonia Hill Baptist Church. Charles loved bass fishing and was an avid LSU sports fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Crystelle Haynes Warner; twin brother, Johnny Orell Haynes and brother, Billy Glenn Haynes.
He is survived by wife of 66 years, Doris Means Haynes; daughters, Donna Haynes of Nacogdoches, Cyndy Schrader and husband Brad of Richardson, TX; grandchildren, Adam, Ben, and Laura Schrader of Richardson; sister, Mary King and husband Wayne of Springhill, LA; and many nieces, nephews and other family members who will miss him.
Graveside Services will be held, 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Sunset Cemetery.
