He was born in Trinidad, CO on November 6, 1951. Ron graduated from William J. Palmer High School, Colorado State University and University of Colorado Law School. He was in a loving, committed relationship with his Life Partner, Eva Martinez of Colorado Springs. He is preceded in death by his Spouse, Lillian Daglas Coca, his Parents Edward Coca and Marian Dennison and his Brother, Adrian Coca.
Ron was an Attorney and worked for Colorado Public Defenders Office in multiple locations, private practice and as an Internal Affairs Attorney for the City and County of San Diego, CA. Ron was retired and living in Colorado Springs, CO.
Ron was a member of the Sierra Club, World Wildlife Foundation, CSU and CU Law School Alumni Associations and a Volunteer for Colorado Springs CASA. He had a passion for his Beloved Golden Retriever, Bear Coca, Native American and Indigenous people culture and traditions, painting, gardening, hiking and fishing. Ron was a student of Shamanic Healing Practices under the guidance of Shaman Consuelo.
Ron is survived by his Daughter, Despina Coca of San Diego, CA; Sister, Carol Rice; Brother, Tom Coca and Sister-in-law, Cathy; Life Partner, Eva Martinez of Colorado Springs and numerous friends and Coca and Martinez family members.
No funeral services will be held. Memorial and Remembrance of Ron's life to be determined.
Ron will be so sadly missed by his family and friends all over the country.
