Lewis Grant McCall, 76, of Liberty, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017, to the sweet sound of his grandchildren laughing, at home. Born on July 17, 1941, in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Edgar Dewey and Florence Anthony McCall. Many people in the community would know Lewis from his business, Lewis’ Bar, that he ran for 28 years in Pickens. He was a kind, generous person, who was well liked by his patrons. Lewis was a gun collector and a “coon” hunter. He also enjoyed playing cards, and was of the Baptist Faith. Lewis leaves behind many friends to cherish the memories made. His loving family includes his wife of 10 years, Joyce Cunningham McCall; four daughters, Angela Cherie Finley (Kean), Marie Cunningham, Renee McCall, and Tammy McCall; two brothers, Jim Ed McCall (Linda) and Mac McCall; one sister, Lynn McCall Lindsey; six grandchildren, Kylee McCall, Elijah McCall, Connor Finley, Jax Berry, Jace Berry and Skyler Gill, and a friend whom he considered to be like a son, Stanley Finley. A special thank you to Roger Cunningham (brother-in-law) and Kean for helping take care of Lewis. Lewis was also predeceased by one brother, J.D. McCall and three sisters, Sara McCall Alexander, Valley Mae McCall Stewart and Ruby McCall Durham. A memorial service will be held on Monday October 23, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of the daughter, Angela Cherie Finley. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1990 Augusta St., Greenville, SC 29605. Lewis supported this research because of losing his sister Sara, who he loved dearly, to leukemia at a young age. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.DillardFunerals.com
