Age 95, of Cranberry, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2019. She was widow to Kenneth Y. Lee; devoted mother of Antonio Lee Cheng (Hsiu-Chih Lin) of Guayaquil, Ecuador, John Lee Cheng (Mireya Gen-Kuong Leon) of Guayaquil, Ecuador and Eva Lee Soo-Hoo (William Soo-Hoo) of Cranberry; proud grandma of Elizabeth, Vivian, Becky, Andres, Gabriel, Alex, Frances and the late Monica; sister of Zheng Guo Fen, Zheng Ju Fu, Zheng Huanzhu and the late Zheng GuoHwa; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Margrette C. Lee was born and raised in Mainland China. She moved to Taiwan with her late husband who was a pilot for the Nationalists after the Communists took over Mainland China. She was a high school art teacher when the family lived in HsinChu, Taiwan. Later on, the whole family immigrated to Ecuador. She helped out with her late husband's business. When they retired, they moved to the USA and lived close to her daughter's family. After her husband passed away, the daughter's family took her in and lived a relaxing life. She and her late husband were the first family members to be baptized, followed by her late granddaughter and then her daughter.
Friends are invited to a Memorial Service to be held Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 11:30 AM in the Pittsburgh Chinese Church, 8711 Old Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margrette's memory may be made to the Pittsburgh Chinese Church.
