Thomas Gary Bossier, age 77, passed away on February 6, 2020. He was born in Alexandra, Louisiana to Louis and Earlene Bossier on May 30, 1942. Growing up in Louisiana, he enjoyed adventures with his sister, Gloria, and brother, David. He was brought up in the Catholic faith and graduated from Menard High School in 1960. After high school, the Bossier family transferred to Ft. Worth, where his father worked for the Texas & Pacific Railroad. Tom later followed in his father’s footsteps in working for awhile with T&P Railroad.
Tom attended the University of Texas in Arlington, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 1968. From there, he moved to Houston to begin his career in Professional Engineering. He was registered by the State Board for Professional Engineers in the state of Texas and several other states. He was a Professional Engineer until his retirement in 2004.
Forty-seven years ago, Tom married Barbara Bilski and they went on to have three children: Lisa Marie, James Anthony, and Michelle Rene.
His passion for model railroading yielded him his masterpiece train board measuring 19 feet by 10 feet, which depicts the Durango & Silverton Railroad in Durango, Colorado in meticulous detail. Tom enjoyed family trips, especially to mountainous destinations.
He was a parishioner of St. Laurence Catholic Church.
