Jerry Lee Horde was born on February 10, 1945 to Ivory and Hazel Horde. His dad was a minister and both of his parents ran a home for the elderly in Santa Rosa, CA. Jerry was raised in San Francisco, where he attended and graduated from Galileo High School.
After high school, Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Louisiana. He met and fell in love with his future wife, Carolyn Ann Mitchell, in Shreveport. Later, they moved to California, where they started a family and Jerry worked as a machine operator between San Mateo and San Jose.
Jerry loved spending his free time with his family watching Giants baseball, movies, and eating ice cream. His family described him as a nice, quiet, and likeable man.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Horde, his three children, Theresa Horde, Byron Lee Horde, Tracy Danielle (Horde) Loverde, and his three grandchildren, Taylor, Santino, and Gianna.
