Michael George Myatt passed away peacefully at his home in Covington, LA on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the age of 68 after a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his wife and three children. Michael was a native of Syracuse, NY and spent the last 25 years living on the northshore of New Orleans as a ‘converted southerner.’ He graduated from Saint Leo University in Florida with a degree in Sociology and enjoyed a long and successful career as a furniture sales representative, following family tradition. Loving husband of Mary Carol Dasher Myatt. Proud father of Matthew Myatt (William Benton Clark), Gregory Myatt (Cherry Ann), and Jacqueline Brown (Justen). Adoring grandfather of Patrick and Bradley Brown and soon-to-arrive, Rory Myatt. Son of the late George and Mary Myatt. Michael is also survived by his seven siblings & their spouses, his brother-in-law and sister-law, and several nieces and nephews. Michael never met a stranger and knew how to make anyone feel special and loved. In light of that, family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mandeville, LA on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will begin in church at 10:30 in the morning. Inurnment will follow at St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden.
