She was born June 30, 1952 in Jamestown, New York the daughter of the late Sam S. and Antoinette (Rizzo) Calanni.
Rosanne graduated from Jamestown High School and she attended Davis & Elkins College, Elkins, West Virginia. She acquired her Ophthalmic Dispenser certification from State University of New York.
On October 11, 1986, Rosanne married Raymond D. Aikens in Delhi. Ray predeceased her on October 14, 2018.
Rosanne enjoyed vacations in St Maarten, golfing, baking, and card playing - but what gave her the greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was a member, Past President and Treasurer of the Oneonta Lions Club and was the 2017 recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow Award. She was also a contributing member of the Henry Mosher American Legion Post; the American Board of Opticianry; and Chi Omega Sorority. Rosanne also held the honor of being a notary republic.
Rosanne is survived by her children, Ken and Ann Marie Aikens, Delhi, Heather and James Gallagher, Salem, Kirk and Mandy Aikens, Niskayuna and Shana and Kevin King, Chadwicks. Also her grandchildren, Caeli Paige, Lee Gallagher, Conor Aikens, Logan Aikens, Parker Aikens, Natalie Gallagher, Mia King and Landon Aikens; great grandson, Dean Raymond Fitch; siblings, Samuel Calanni, Carl Calanni, Francine Smith-Calanni and Tony Calanni.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Masks and social distancing is required. You may be asked to wait. Funeral services will be private with Rev. Fred Albrecht officiating. Burial will be held in the Hamden Cemetery, Hamden.
