Alvin E. Holter, 78, of Johnstown, Ohio passed Saturday, June 12, 2021 of lung cancer at his home. Alvin was a devoted husband, loving father, grandpa and great-grandpa. Alvin looked like Elvis Presley and played the guitar and sang like Johnny Cash. He always entertained the family, when he wasn’t fixing someone's car. Alvin retired at the age of 57 from driving a semi truck for 30 years with no accidents. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Geneva; brother, Frank; and daughter, Kim Thompson. Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Patricia (Patty) Holter, daughter, Teresa Holter; three grandchildren, Dustin, Cody and Kaylee Waller; and one great-grandson, Noah Hagans. Family and friends may call from 10 am to noon on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. Funeral service will be at the funeral home with Pastor Dan McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
