She will be truly missed by her children, Dale (Pam), Tina (Greg), and Rod (Laverne) as well as by her much admired grandchildren: Spencer, Kayla, Danica, Jenna, Jack, Autumn and Devon and by her brothers John (Pat) and Daniel (Linda) and her sister Mary (Bob). She was predeceased by her loving husband Tom, her brother Bill (Shirley) and by her parents, Daniel and Isabella Acheson.
We are saddened because Kathleen will no longer be physically present to us but, at the same time, we are filled with joy because she was with us for so many years and for so many good times and for so many special occasions. All those good times and special occasions are now safely stored in that place we call memory – they are safe there and will endure there.
Kathleen was a beautiful and fashionable person and a woman of great strength and internal
fortitude. She was an entrepreneur living and running her own business, The Little Giant Soup and Sandwich Shop in North Vancouver, for many years, and has been a devout volunteer with organizations such as Silver Harbour and The Conservative Party, as well as being a faithful parishioner at St. Paul’s Catholic parish in North Vancouver. Her involvement in her church was a reflection of her deep and abiding faith in Jesus. This is a faith that sustained her on her journey and a faith that gave her great confidence that she would eventually reside with her God in heaven along with the communion of saints including her beloved husband.
