Mrs. Wilson graduated at Ball High School in Houston, TX. She served her country in the USAF. She attended Northwestern University and later obtained a BS in Nursing. Mrs. Wilson had an extensive career in nursing. She worked at Willis Knighton South for more than twenty years, then she was a traveling nurse for a time and then was at Colonial Oaks Nursing Home until being forced to retire from lung cancer. She was in remission for more than four years.
Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David Wilson, and a brother, Everett McCann, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Michael Warren and wife Susan and Garrett Wilson, daughters, Deborah Warren and Darlene Rock and husband Thomas, grandchildren, Taylor Wilson and wife Tia, Alania Warren, and Jay Michael Warren, many loved great-grandchildren, sisters, Stella Sweeney and Carol Wells and husband Mike, other relatives, and many friends.
A service celebrating the life of Mary Francis Wilson will be held Sunday, January 12, 2020, 2:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Dana Casey. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1 PM until 2:30 PM Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the funeral home.
