Donneta Murrah, age 82, born Oct 1937, in OKC, met her Lord and Savior in heaven June 21, 2020, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s. She married the love of her life Guy Murrah in 1969 who preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by parents, Cleatus and Malissa Jones. She is survived by loving daughter, Valerie and husband Dean Corley of Mustang OK, two grandsons Braden and Pierce Corley; a brother Gerald and wife Brenda of Joplin MO, and one sister Kay Broyles of Houston TX; two step sons, David Murrah and family and Michael Murrah; several nieces and nephews and many longtime friends. Donneta attended Putnam City Schools and received an Admin Asst degree at Central State College. While attending high school and college, she was employed by TG&Y Store located 23rd and Portland Ave OKC. Her first Admin Asst position was with the American Legion office in OKC where she worked for several years. She went on to work at Tinker AFB as Admin Asst to the chief of Mtl Mgmt Engine Division where she worked until retirement. Donneta was a member of First Church of the Nazarene OKC her entire life. Her faith was very important to her and showed in the way she treated people with love, kindness and generosity. She was most enthusiastic when sitting on the sidelines watching her grandsons playing sports..she was their BIGGEST FAN!!! She loved the colors red, white and blue and could shop for hours just for fun. The family wishes to express their gratitude for compassionate care and support by the staff at Glade Assisted Living and Physician Hospice. Services will be 10am Friday at Bill Merritt Funeral Service with interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
