(Sinagahji Hi Wiya – Yellow Shawl Woman)
August 10, 2000 – August 30, 2020
It is with deep sadness in our hearts that our baby girl Kaitlyn Mae has begun her journey to the spirit world on August 30th, 2020 at the age of 20.
Kaitlyn was predeceased by her grandfather “Papa PeeWee” and Great Papa Frank.
She is survived by her mother Orleen (Cory) and father Patrick. Her loving partner Riley and her beautiful daughter Rylynne. Her Special grandmother who she called “Nama Darla”, Rosie (Merk), Floyd (Diane). And Great Grandmother Bonnie & Gaylene and special grandparents Tony & Edna whom raised Kaitlyn in her younger years. Her siblings Maisy (Logan), Brayzon, Nolan, Marshall, Savanna, Adrian, Cheyna, Christian, adopted sister Jaylene and niece Penelope “Gracie”.
Kaitlyn was the oldest of the grandchildren and was like a mother hen to her special cousins; Jaicilyn, Terrance, Easton and Maddox.
She leaves behind special aunts and uncles: Laura (Justin), Aria (Cody), Tyler (Kyla), Raelee (Randy), Lisa “Flossy” (Brian), Kim (Mitch) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
A Traditional Wake and Funeral will be held outdoors on Carry The Kettle, First Nation at the Residence of Frank Saulteaux House #211 on Friday, September 4th, 2020 at 4 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday September 5th, 2020 at 11 a.m. with interment in South Cemetery. The family asks that no young children attend the services.
The family would also like to recognize her ball team Standing Buffalo “Dakota Winyans” and all of her volleyball family near and far as well as her close friends Michelle Goodwill, Emily Ryder, Kendra Benson and Danielle Cappo as Honorary Pallbearers at the wake/service.
The family would like to thank Fort Qu’Appelle & Indian Head First Responders, File Hills Police, Ronald Thomson and the special unknown angel nurse that was the first on scene – from the bottom of our hearts we are truly grateful for your care to our babies.
