Chandler, Arizona - Funeral services for Rosa M. Castro, 70, will be held at 5 p.m.– 7 p.m. beginning with visitation followed by mass on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery. Rosa was born on December 26, 1950. She passed away on January 7, 2021.
Rosa met the love of her life Mario and later married at the Sacred Heart Church in San Jose, California. They recently celebrated their fiftieth (50th) wedding anniversary on April 25, 2020. Rosa was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and sister in law.
She will always be remembered and treasured for being there for her husband, children and grandchildren. Rosa cherished and loved her family dearly. Her family was her “life” and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t for them. She loved spending time with her grandchildren baking and attending their school events. She loved following current events and listening to music. She would always be there to help anyone in need including her friends through “home cooked” meals and volunteering. That’s what made Rosa so special. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and giving spirit.
She took pride in her role as a mother to all of her children. She demonstrated her “unconditional love” to her family and grandchildren in many memorable ways that will remain within our heart(s). Her family was her greatest “gift” and as our mother, she was our greatest gift. She taught us many “life lessons” which will always continue to guide us along our life’s journey.
Rosa worked and retired from many years in the medical office management field.
Rosa is survived by her son, Ricardo Castro and wife, Wendy Castro, and sons, Izaiah (grandson) and Liam (grandson) of Kansas City, Missouri; two (2) daughters including Lorena Diaz and Luis Diaz (husband), Daniel Diaz (grandson) and Isabella (granddaughter) Diaz of Chandler, Arizona; and Marissa Castro of Chandler, Arizona, and four fur babies including Wilbur, Happy, Mika, and Airi.
Rosa was preceded in death by her beloved husband Crisoforo Mario Castro.
Together again, Mario and Rosa are joined as one as they had always been.
