Janet Stafford, age 89 of Sandy Hook, MS passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was a dietitian and cafeteria supervisor with West Marion County Schools and later a homemaker. Janet was a member of Sandy Hook Methodist Church.
Mrs. Stafford was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Stafford; parents, Frank Smith and Mattie Selman Smith; and a brother, Richard Lane Smith. Surviving family members include three sons, William Allen Stafford (Rebecca) of Roanoke, TX, Frank David Stafford (Donna) of Hattiesburg, MS, and Mark Sean Stafford of Sandy Hook; a sister, Kay Anding of Sandy Hook; three brothers, Robert Gerald Smith (Shirley) of Bush, LA, James “Jim” Roy Smith (Gerry) of Colorado Springs, CO, and Temple Dale Smith (Martha “Tootsie”) of Belle Chase, LA; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Foxworth Cemetery with Reverend Steve Albritton officiating.
