Jane was a devoted teacher for over 50 years, who gifted thousands of children with the love of music, art, history and math. She saved her retirement years for her family, deeply enveloped in the joy of her grandchildren.
Her sense of humor was radiant. She loved facing every challenge with wit and a bold punchline. She presented herself to friends unconditionally - without apology - and never missed an opportunity to brighten the mood of those in her presence, with laughter or an impromptu piano performance.
She faced every challenge with humor, and solace. Her final days, her mind remained vibrant. Surrounded by family, Jane verbalized accomplishments, along with hopes and clear perspectives for her children and grandchildren. Those last treasured moments will forever feel like comfort. The significance, she said, of her long, meaningful life:
“I’ve had a heck of a long and mostly fun and wonderful life! The bottom line is love. Love is the most important thing.”
