Vivian “Vicki” Leigh Wurzburg Sanders, age 69, of Eads, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021, at the Memphis Jewish Home. She was a lifelong member of Temple Israel Synagogue and a 1969 graduate of White Station High School in Memphis, Tennessee. She received her BSE and MSE from Memphis State University, now University of Memphis. She was a 42-year member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, having served as TSDAR State Registrar, TSDAR State Chairman, Adam Dale Chapter Regent and held many other chapter officer positions. Most recently she was a member of Chief Piomingo Chapter, NSDAR.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Henry and Patrena Wurzburg. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, J. Stephen Sanders, sister Deborah Wurzburg Parker (James), brother Henry Wurzburg III (Kasia), two nephews, four nieces, three great nephews, and one great niece.
Vicki was a kind and gentle soul. And she was the bravest and most positive person to meet cancer head on and beat it for 12 years.
