She graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts in 1984 with a BS degree in physical therapy. While in Massachusetts she worked for Easter Seals and the Boston Public Schools providing services for children with exceptional needs. After moving to Maryland she was employed at The Hospital For Sick Children and rose to become the of Chief of Physical Therapy. Michele and her husband John moved to Cary, North Carolina in 1995 where Michelle accepted a position with Johnston County Public Schools as a physical therapist for children with exceptional needs.
She was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Michelle loved to cheer her children on in their sports activities of baseball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. She loved taking the kids to the movies, vacationing at the beach and reading for pleasure. Her selfless passion for all children in her care was a blessing to all.
Michelle is preceded in death by her father Raymond J. and mother Sarah B. Ouellette from Woonsocket and Smithfield Rhode Island. She is also preceded in death by her brother Raymond A. Ouellette from Tiverton, Rhode Island.
She is survived by her husband, John (Jack) Alexyon; children, Brenda Mobley Alexyon, Brendan Keefe Alexyon and Michaela Fortin Alexyon; and her sisters, M. Anita Mulcahy, Lucille A. Ouellette, Doris I. Santoro and Florence L. DiFante all of Rhode Island.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at St. Michael The Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Wake Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Victory Junction Camp, a place where children with serious illnesses are able to experience the joys of childhood, would be appreciated. Donations can be made at the website www.victoryjunction.org.
