Melche Jamis Caudor, age 71, of Norwalk, California passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 after a grueling but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Melche was born in April 20, 1950 at Alubijid, Misamis Oriental, Philippines to Epifania Jamis Caudor and Gil Caudor. He was the 5th of 7 siblings (3 brothers and 3 sisters).
Melche was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many, and is loved by many as well. He was very personable and witty, which is proved by the many friends that he has, probably hundreds! He had a fun-loving and adventure-thirsting spirit. He always liked to travel and see the world, and he was open to try new things. He also liked dancing, karaoke singing and having a good time with friends and family. He had a colorful career, starting off as a shoe-shine boy and jeepney "konduktor" to having a degree in Chemical Engineering, and then to becoming an up-and-coming Baker himself, to owning bakeries, then to becoming a Pilot and owning his own flying school, to venturing into farming, and finally to becoming a Massage Therapist. He also had a colorful extracurricular life, such as being in softball varsity when he was young, joining Toastmasters, then being the president of the Philippine Baker's Association, being active in the HOA of the subdivision he lived in, being a part of AMTA, being a part of the choir of a church in Cebu, and being a part of Freemasonry.
Melche is survived by his wife of 43 years, Doris; his children: Melche, Rhomel and Cheries; daughters-in-law: Karen and Vanessa; grandchildren: Audrina, Alison, Gabrielle, Eloise and Gavin Euan; and sisters: Edencita and Levenie.
