Our modern funeral home originated from the combination of 2 historic funeral homes, Swan Funeral Home and Law Undertakers, that were pillars of the Colorado Springs community since 1912. In fact, our founder Russel Law played a key role in bringing Fort Carson to Colorado Springs.

In the mid-70s, Stanley Newman merged the 2 institutions to create Swan-Law Funeral Directors. Stanley took great pride in his involvement in the Colorado Springs community and abroad. Besides being a well-known businessman in Colorado Springs and serving as a Rotary District Governor, he also helped build the U.S. National Cemetery in Cambridge, England, at the end of World War II.
