Grummons-Bookhout-Bennett Funerals & Cremations proudly carries forward the legacy of the Rothery-Murphy Funeral Home. Founded by Walter Rothery in 1922, the firm was a cornerstone of the community until his passing in 1953. John D. Murphy then embraced the tradition, serving the families of Oneonta, New York, with dedication until his own passing in 1970. At that time, Lester and Sharon Grummons took stewardship of the funeral home, committed to honoring the enduring traditions and compassionate service established by their predecessors.
