Victoria Avenue Funeral Home and Cremation Centre is Regina’s second-oldest funeral services provider, established in the early 1900s.

Though our facility and funeral offerings have evolved through the decades to meet changing needs, what has not changed is our commitment to serving the Regina community with respect, compassion and professionalism. Victoria Avenue Funeral Home and Cremation Centre provides obituaries, memorials, burials, cremations and cemetery services to all families, regardless of cultural background or religious belief, and our caring staff understands the importance of celebrating a life well lived with a personal touch.

Unique funeral services to suit all needs

Sitting area at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home and Cremation CentreOur contemporary Victoria Avenue facility opened in 1995. It has a chapel that seats 200-plus and a reception centre that can be used for gatherings before or after a funeral. With a full fleet of white vehicles, we provide funeral transportation to our families.

All of our services are designed to give families peace of mind at one of the most challenging times in their lives. Our goal with every service is to leave an indelible mark of a life well lived. We offer everything from a traditional funeral in our spacious chapel, at a church, graveside or elsewhere, to a no-holds-barred celebration, complete with live music, catering and a heart-warming send-off that reflects the personality and passions of yourself or your loved one. From finding just the right cemetery monument to ordering personalized mementos, we go the extra mile to capture the unique essence of every individual.

History

Victoria Avenue Funeral Home and Cremation Centre is Regina’s second-oldest funeral service provider.

Established in early 1900s, the funeral home has gone through a succession of name changes, operating through the years as W.J. Wright Funeral Home, Regina Funeral Home, Regina Co-Operative Funeral Home, Bremner Funeral Home, Helmsing-Bremner Funeral Chapel, Helmsing-Forsberg Funeral Home and Helmsing Funeral Home.

In 2003, Helmsing Funeral Home and Unser-Rist Funeral Home united to form the present-day Victoria Avenue Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, which is a member of the Dignity Memorial® network, the largest group of licensed funeral service providers in North America.
