Founded in 1993 by Georgetown-area families, The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory was built on the belief that neighbors should have access to the funeral and cremation choices they want, at a price they can afford. Over the decades, we’ve guided thousands of families through some of life’s hardest moments, always with support and attention to detail.

Our welcoming chapel seats up to 275 guests. Comfortable visitation rooms allow friends and family to gather. An on-site crematory means peace of mind. Families appreciate our tribute movies, extensive music library and the option to livestream services for loved ones unable to attend in person.

Personalized options, including green funerals

Whether you’re arranging a traditional religious ceremony, a cremation memorial or a celebration of life, our caring staff is here to help you plan for today or the future. For those who prefer tradition, we can honor cultural and faith-based customs with services that bring comfort and continuity. Families choosing cremation may plan a memorial gathering in our chapel, at a cemetery or in a place that holds personal meaning. A celebration of life can be as unique as the person it honors — whether that means a jazz brunch or a sports-themed afternoon. Whatever your choice, we will guide your family with compassion and care.

Not all funeral homes offer the option of a green funeral. The Green Burial Council sets the standards for environmentally friendly funeral practices, and The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory is proud to meet those requirements. Sometimes called a natural funeral, a green funeral may exclude embalming or nonbiodegradable containers. If your family chooses a green funeral with embalming for an open-casket service, we use only a formaldehyde-free, eco-friendly solution. You may also select a biodegradable shroud or sustainably made casket.

• Aided in the Texas Funeral Directors Disaster Team in response and recovery after Hurricane Harvey.

• Partnered with Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery and The Mary Claire Project to provide low-cost services for infants.
• Sustained strong ties with local churches and contributed to community organizations.
• Hosted our Annual Service of Remembrance during the holidays.
• Opened our parking lot for Georgetown’s 4th of July fireworks, with free popcorn and water.

These commitments, both large and small, reflect our promise to the families of Georgetown and Williamson County as the area continues to grow.
