Abe was born August 14, 1936 in the Neuanlang Village of the Mennonite Colony in Paraguay. In 1957 he would meet and marry Elizabeth Neufeld.
In 1964, Abe and Elizabeth along with their 4 children would immigrate to Canada and settle in Niverville, MB. Here they would have one more daughter before moving to Winnipeg where Abe found work in construction.
In 1976 the family would once again pack up and this time move west, settling in Abbotsford BC, where Abe started his insulation company, MSA Insulating Inc and then later started squab farming on his Queen St property in addition to his insulation business.
After retirement from both insulation and farming, Abe and Elizabeth would move into their home on Upper MacLure in 2002, and then in 2022 move into Tabor Court as Abe’s Parkinson’s started to progress.
Abe is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, children, Erna (John) Federau, Erika (James) Wall, Al (Deb) Enns, Rachel (Ron) Boschmann, Helga (Harold) Hildebrandt, 12 grandchildren and spouses, 14 great grandchildren, brothers, sisters and other extended family members.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Tabor Court, and the many Doctors and nurses at Abbotsford Hospital for the care and support provided.
