

Agatha Giesbrecht was born in Hanover, Manitoba on April 15th, 1918. In 1927 she emigrated to Paraguay, South America with her family. She married our father, Peter Giesbrecht on October 28, 1937. Mom and dad returned to Manitoba with the family in 1955 and in 1968 they moved to BC where mom worked as a homemaker for a number of years. Mom remained strong and healthy until the past few years when she became frail and tired. On April 18th, 2012, at 8:35 a.m., God, in all His grace and mercy, called our mother home four days after her 94th Birthday. She had resided at Tabor Home in Abbotsford since 2003. Mom leaves her daughters Dora Fehr, Tina (Gladwin) Loewen, Sara Schulz, Eva (Helmut) Isaak, her sons George (Monica), Willi (Nancy) and Peter, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her husband Peter in 2005, their daughter Helen at age 6 months, sons-in-law Henry Unrau, Herman Fehr and Abe Schulz and grandson Ken Loewen. Funeral Service held Tuesday April 24th, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd with burial to follow at Valleyview Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Tabor Home for caring for our mother.
